Home Design: Structural Design

This is the stage where we take the floor plans and make them work structurally.  Floor joist plans are created planning out the size and direction of the joists.  The roof layout is transformed into engineered roof trusses where available.  Cathedral and trayed ceilings are designed into the trusses.  This process is done with the height restriction by laws in mind so the trusses fit into our building envelope.

Our HVAC heat loss calculations are also done at this stage.  This is where we plan out your heating and air conditioning layout. Placement of the furnace is finalized to best perform efficiently.

The Stonemill Home Design team specializes in creating house plans that are specific to your needs.  Our floor plans will maximize available floor space.  When considering home design we encourage our clients to tell us about your lifestyle.  That way Stonemill house designs lead the pack when it comes to your satisfaction with the final product…your dream home.

We’re proud to serve the following locations; Oakville, Mississauga, Brampton, Milton, Toronto, Burlington, Hamilton, Ancaster, and many more Ontario communities.  To find out more about our 99 cent home designs, please give us a call.
